Getting Started

My suggestion for how to use this course: 
  • Learn the tunes from the A part and B part videos by ear, playing along with me. 
  • If they move too slow for you, skip straight to the Practice Along. 
  • Play through the tune with the sheet music to check your notes and fingerings.
  • Once you have the tune mostly memorized use the Practice Along videos.
  •  Go back and review old tunes to start to build up your repertoire and your long term memory for fiddle tunes!

Tunes in A Mixolydian have two sharps (F# and C#, like D Major) but are organized around A as a resting tone.
