Introduction to droning

Introduction to droning

Welcome to the Drones Course!

This course is for you if you:

  • Don't know how to drone

  • Don't feel comfortable droning

  • Don't like the way your drones sound

Our goal is to feel comfortable droning and adding drones to your Old-Time tunes.

What is a drone?
An unchanging note that accompanies the melody. If you play a melody on the A string, and also play an open D string or open E string along as a double stop drone, you are droning!
