Jig techniques
Here are some techniques you'll find in Irish jigs, and American or Canadian jigs in Irish style:
First note of each group of three is heavier and slightly longer
Second note of each group of three is shorter and softer, "ghosted"
Jig slurring pattern, see below to practice
Added grace notes, usually from above the note on the beat
Grace notes in the middle of slurs
Mordants going rapidly to the note above and back
Full turns on longer notes
